Rainy Cannes Weather Cause Cancellations, Roof Collapse

Rainy Cannes Weather Causes Cancellations, Roof Collapse

Rain, rain, go away!

Wet, windy weather is causing big problems for the A-listers attending the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival this week.

THR reports that stormy conditions caused the roof of the Soixantieme Theatre--a building behind the legendary Palais des Festivals--to collapse, forcing several cancellations and postponements of screenings.

"I have never seen it this bad," an industry source told THR about the crazy conditions.

Celebs, including Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, braved the pouring rain to head down the red carpet during Sunday night's premiere of Michael Hankee's Amour.

Typically, Cannes festival attendees enjoy a balmy, Mediterranean climate during their visit--including 12 hours of sunshine a day and average high temperatures of 68.4 degrees. The gloomy, unseasonably cool conditions are expected to continue through Monday and Tuesday.
